Traditional pinning tweezers require you to apply continuous pressure to hold a pin. That's where these cross-locking pinning tweezers differ. Instead, they work in reverse.
Squeeze the tweezers to open the jaws and grab or release a pin. Let go, and the tweezers clamp down and hold the pin without any additional pressure.
This is especially useful when pinning or gutting a lock because it allows you to focus on positioning the pin instead of also having to maintain a good grip on it.
