Locating the exact pick you're looking for can sometimes be frustrating. Is this pick a flat or round tipped profile? Is it 16 or 19 thou? Etc. That's why many folks choose to color code their picks to make finding the right one quicker.

A common and universal solution is to use colored heat shrink tubing on the neck of the pick. However, heat shrink tends to be sold in bulk. It's generally pretty cheap, but maybe you just need enough heat shrink for your picks and nothing more.

That's what this product aims to provide. It is a small set of heat shrink tube that comes in 9 different colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, gray, and black. It also comes in two different sizes: 3/32" and 1/8".

Each section of heat shrink tube should be enough to do 10 or so picks. You only need a small sliver a few mm in width for use on your pick. That's plenty to make it easily visible. And making it too long would possibly interfere with your picking anyway.

Installation is super simple. Grab your scissors and cut off a tiny piece. Run it down the neck of the pick until it buts up against the pick's handle. Then gently apply a flame or heat gun to the heat shrink and watch it shrink into place. NOTE: It only takes a few quick licks of a flame to shrink it. Don't overly heat your picks or handles. If you start melting stuff, you're using way too much heat.

Pick Brand vs Heat Shrink Tube Sizing Guidance

In general, if the neck of the pick has a slender gentle taper on its way towards the handle then the 3/32" tubing is likely the right choice. However, if the neck widens out quite a bit before reaching the handle, you should use the 1/8" tubing.
