Slim Cloaks EZ Single Unnumbered (Reaper Handles)
Slim Cloaks EZ Single Unnumbered (Reaper Handles)
The grim reaper needs his cloak, right?
Handles sold individually. Each includes 2 halves with magnets. These come unassembled, but assembly is dead simple. See video above.
44 Delta has no affiliation with Covert Instruments. This does not in any way modify the original pick, and is simply an accessory with the aim of making your picking experience more comfortable and enjoyable.
Features
- Extended tail piece for additional comfort and support while picking (adds ~30mm to the length of the pick)
- Split handle design with 6 high quality N52 magnets (3 per handle half)
- Incredible fit-up with your picks securing them tightly
- Easy assembly/disassembly
- Awesome color selection
- 6 N52 magnets included
Be Aware
When assembled on the picks, these will not fit in your original case from CI. The pocket in the case where the picks normally go is only tall enough for the original Reaper picks, and nothing more. However, there is a pocket on the opposite side that at least a couple of these will fit into.
Shimming for a Tighter Fit
You may need to shim your raw pick handles to get a truly perfect fit for your needs. It's non-destructive and very easy to do. Please refer to this page for more information: Shimming for a Better Pick Handle Fit-Up
Magnetic, but, but, but... Let me stop you right there. First of all, yes these are magnetic handles. 6 high quality N52 magnets to be precise. I (eschlenz) initially avoided using magnets out of fears that I'd magnetize the pick, which might get annoying in certain circumstances. However, after testing, here are the facts:
- Your picks are already up against a magnet when in their case (that's how the case stays shut).
- Even with 6 of these high powered N52 magnets lined up along the handle, I was not able to pick up even the tiniest springs I have (ASSA 6K side pin springs) with the tip of the pick.
- The vast majority of locks use brass pins, which are non-ferrous (eg: non-magnetic).
- Magnetic pick handles are already a "thing" out in production, and are used to good effect.
Dimensions: 113.22mm X 11.7mm X 6.4mm (when assembled)
