The Belt Patch

You earned the belt. Give it a place on your gear.

A new lockpicking belt represents hours of practice, stubborn locks, and that moment when everything finally clicks. Like The Belt Chip, The Belt Patch takes that achievement beyond a color beside your username and turns it into something you can carry with pride.

Laser etched in-house at 44 Delta, each patch features a fist gripping a pick, a belt tied around the wrist, and nine padlocks marking the journey from White to Black. Choose your rank and let fellow pickers recognize the work behind it.

What You’re Buying

• One patch in your selected belt color, plus the separate matching loop backing piece for hook-and-loop attachment (commonly called Velcro).
• Approximately 3 inches wide × 2 inches tall (76.2 × 50.8 mm).
• Faux leather with a stitched border and hook backing.
• Installation: Attach to an existing loop panel, or sew the included loop piece onto suitable gear. Household-iron installation is not recommended.
• Nine options: White, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Brown, Red, and Black Belt.

A Little Recognition for a Lot of Work

The progress row fills one lock at a time as the belt rank increases. Black Belt gets its own finishing touches: a silver-colored etched design, a laurel wreath, and striped belt ends. The other eight colors have dark etched artwork. Small variations in texture and etching are part of the finished patch; colors may appear differently on different screens.

Pick the belt you’ve earned, celebrate a friend’s promotion, or keep your next goal nearby. Buying a patch does not award an LPU belt rank.

Attach It to Your Gear

Already have a loop panel? Pull off the included loose backing and press the patch onto your gear’s loop panel. No sewing or heat is needed.

No loop panel? Sewing is our recommended home installation method. Sew the included separate loop backing around its perimeter onto suitable fabric, then press the patch onto it. Sew only the backing to your gear so the decorated patch stays removable.

Optional heat-press installation: The loop backing has heat-activated adhesive for use with a suitable heat press and compatible fabric. We do not recommend a household clothes iron for installing The Belt Patch’s backing.

You are doing yourself and the lockpicking community a disservice by purchasing and displaying a Belt Patch of a rank other than what you’ve rightfully accomplished. There's nothing wrong with buying patches of a higher rank as motivation to advance your lockpicking skills. Just don’t be that person who falsely represents their accomplishments.
